1 MIN AGO: Kate Middleton had birthday lunch at our restaurant – we'll never forget how she acted'

Kate Middleton reportedly descended on a small UK bistro with members of her family and impressed those who work there with her "utterly charming" personality. The Princess of Wales decided to mark her 44th birthday last week (January 9) with a laid-back lunch with her mother, Carole Middleton and sister, Pippa.

The three Middletons dined at The Funghi Club, a "tiny" French bistro that offers patrons a "relaxed and carefree feeling" in Hungerford, Berkshire, much to the delight of those who work at the establishment.

Kate managed to "celebrate her birthday in peace", unlike her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, who the "whole world seems to know about" when they dine, according to The Mail's Richard Eden.

It seems that the future Queen has made quite the impression on the little bistro. A staff member told Richard: "We had the enormous pleasure of welcoming a rather extraordinary guest. She was utterly charming, gracious and every bit as radiant in person as you'd imagine."
