Chris Rock did not hold back in his live Netflix special Selective Outrage. The comedian’s set spanned many topics, including poking fun at the Kardashians and finally addressing the infamous Oscars slap. He even dared to roast the drama surrounding Meghan Markle and her beef with the royal family.
In the special, which aired live from Baltimore on Saturday night (March 4), Rock noted how “everybody is trying to be a victim,” before adding, “Meghan Markle, seem like a nice lady, just complaining. I was like ‘Didn’t she hit the light-skin lottery?'” per People.
He pointed out that Markle, who married Prince Harry in 2018 before the couple stepped back from their royal duties and moved to California in 2020, was “acting all dumb like she don’t know nothing” during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which she revealed that an unnamed member of her husband’s family expressed “concerns” over how dark their baby’s skin might be.
