When it comes to the soft power of the British royal family, tiaras play an important symbolic role in reinforcing the Firm's power and influence. Consequently, toppers are chosen with the utmost care, and not everyone is allowed to don one—including Princess Charlotte.

The 10-year-old is currently third in line to the throne. Still, she is not yet a working royal and is thus too young to wear a tiara. She is, however, getting a "crash course" from her great-aunt Princess Anne, as she may one day inherit her Princess Royal title.

"Anne's 'training,' if you will, isn't just about rank, file, and curtsies either," a source told Woman magazine (via Express). "She's shown her how to spark conversations, but also how to end one and move on without upsetting anyone. That was a tough one for Kate to learn, but Charlotte was born into royalty so is used to the subtle signals and messaging the royals give to stay in control of a situation."
