7 MINUTES AGO: Royal Palace Speaks on Prince Louis

Kensington Palace has broken its silence with a rare new statement about Prince Louis, after weeks of mounting speculation over his absence from recent royal outings. In the brief but carefully crafted message,

the Palace stressed that Louis is “happy, healthy, and thriving,” and that any reduction in his public appearances is a deliberate choice by his parents, not a cause for alarm.

Officials explained that Prince William and Princess Catherine are “deeply committed to providing as normal a childhood as possible” for all three of their children, and that Louis, as the youngest, is especially shielded while he adjusts to school life and growing attention. They noted that his most memorable public moments, while beloved by the public, have also underlined how intense and intrusive the spotlight can be for a child his age.

The Palace also pushed back gently at online rumors, calling much of the chatter “inaccurate and unhelpful,” and asking the public to remember that Louis is “first and foremost a little boy, not a symbol or a meme.” Going forward, they signalled that he will appear at select high‑profile occasions—major family events, national celebrations—but will not be routinely expected at every photocall or balcony moment.
