Royal Archives revealed Princess Diana’s "TRUE Will" are entirely fabricated. No such document has been discovered, hidden, or revealed in 2026 or any other year. Princess Diana’s last will and testament, dated June 1, 1993, and amended in February 1996, has been a matter of public record since her death in August 1997.
The narrative that a secret, handwritten "true will" was recently found in a desk drawer at Kensington Palace is a fictional invention created by clickbait websites and YouTube channels to generate views through sensationalism.
The stories often describe a dramatic scene where a "handwritten" document surfaces, allegedly containing explosive instructions to disinherit Queen Camilla, gift land in Africa to Prince Harry, or leave secret messages to the late Queen Elizabeth II. In reality, Diana’s estate was valued at approximately £21.7 million and was distributed exactly as her legal will dictated: the vast majority was placed in trust for her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, with specific bequests to her butler Paul Burrell (£50,000) and her 17 godchildren (personal effects). While Diana did write a non-binding "Letter of Wishes" regarding the distribution of some personal items, this document was never "hidden" and has been known to executors and the public for decades.
The claim that King Charles reacted with tears to a "shocking revelation" is a complete fabrication. Charles, as a co-executor of the will alongside Diana’s mother and sister, was intimately involved in the probate process in 1997 and has known the contents of the will for nearly 30 years. There is no "new" will to react to. The Royal Archives do not store private wills of deceased family members in secret drawers, and no such excavation or discovery has taken place.
