King Charles’ illness has made conversations about the future succession more immediate, but there’s no doubt that those conversations would have happened sooner rather than later, anyway.
King Charles was, after all, the oldest person to ever succeed to the throne when he took over for his mother, Queen Elizabeth. So, everyone has always been aware that Prince William’s time is coming. And changes are coming with him.
Some of these changes might have to do with both Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, William’s uncle and brother.
There has, after all, been a lot of talk about whether Prince William would dare to do something that King Charles has so far been reluctant to do: taking away Prince Andrew and Prince Harry’s titles.
