Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the shock decision to quit the UK for a seemingly less stressful life in America, the relationship between the couple and the Royal Family hit an all time low.
And while reports soon after the couple's marriage, suggested that Meghan was struggling to form a connection with particular members of her new family, it seems her bond with King Charles was stronger than ever. And during a trip to the Scottish Castle of Mey, in 2018, Prince Harry revealed that their bond was solidified even further, when Meghan shared that she had the same birthday as the late Queen Mother - who King Charles adored.
In his memoir titled Spare, which was released last year, he recalled the moment his wife and father deepened their connection during "pre-dinner cocktails." He said: "One night, over pre-dinner cocktails, Fred Astaire playing in the background, it emerged that Meg shared a birthdate with Pa's favorite person: Gan-Gan [the Queen Mother]."
