Kate Middleton and Prince William have risked "offending" Princess Anne, after they broke royal protocol on a recent visit to Scarborough.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have a far more modern approach to meeting members of the public that Princess Anne "simply does not get."
The couple's visit to Scarborough, earlier this week, was in order to announce a boost in funding for community services and mental health support. Outside the community centres, crowds of royal fans gathered and witnessed the Prince and Princess ignoring royal protocol in a number of ways, the Express reports.
